Sv. Petar is a small town of the Riviera that was named after the church of Sv. Petar apostol (Apostle St. Peter) dating back to the 18th century. In the centre of the town there can be see ruins of medieval outbuildings that belonged to the abbey on Rogovo. Among more significant archaeological localities there are ruins of a castle in the place of Pećina and cave Buta.
Today Sv. Petar is a place where you can spend your holiday in peaceful and natural surroundings where friendly hosts await you with comfortable suites, numerous campsites, as well as a smaller hotel “Mare nostrum” situated right by the sea.

NP KORNATI
Kornati national park, with its 89 islands and rocks and total surface of 302 square kilometers, is a unique island group in the Mediterranean sea . Landscape and panorama are very interesting for boater and numerous park visitors. The wild beauty of rocks, clear blue sky, secluded bays, incredible contrasts of the nature, and especially the world of silence, are a unique experience. Sea cliffs, caves (grotto), holes, meadows under the sea level, corals and shells, they all represent the priceless treasure of the national park.
NP Kornati is 8 nautical miles away from Sv. Filip i Jakov and there is a possibility of everyday excursions to the islands...
NP KRKA
Krka national park covers 14200 hectares in the region of towns Šibenik, Drniš and Knin, and spreads over the area which begins at the fort Nečmen and Trošelj under the noisy waterfalls Manjolovac, Risnjak and Miljacka, over the 26 meters high waterfall “Roški slap”, the lake “Visovačko jezero” and the waterfall “Skradinski buk” (46 m), which is the biggest chalk barrier in Europe. Numerous historical and cultural monuments give this park special importance: Franciscan monastery on the island Visovac and monastery Krka.
National Park Krka is only 50km away from Sv. Filip i Jakov which can be reached by car or organized transport...
NP PAKLENICA
The most beautiful and individual natural and other sights of Velebit are joined together in the national park Paklenica which is one of the most attractive natural-scientific and touristic destination of the north-east Mediterranean Sea. You can follow the park paths, you can see magnificent canyons, you can admire the cave “Manita peć”, you can observe the climbers climbing rocks, swim in the crystal clear sea, enjoy domestic cuisine, and you can get to know the life and friendly people: small things for a big experience.
You can reach National Park Paklenica by car or organized transport. It is 80 km away from Sv. Filip i Jakov...
NP PLITVIČKA JEZERA
The most beautiful and the most popular Croatian national park, part of the UNESCO's World Heritage, situated at the main road from Zagreb to Dalmatia; 16 little lakes interconnected with waterfalls created by deposition of travertine, dense forests of beech and fir, partly in the form of primeval virgin forest, many animal species (including the brown bear). Phenomenon of Plitvička jezera consists of calcareous sinter barriers. For their emerging optimal concordance of several elements is necessary such as temperature, flora, clean environment, etc. National Park Plitvice is 130 km away and you can visit it using organized transport or by car.
PP VRANSKO JEZERO
The natural phenomenon, the lake “Vransko jezero”, is situated near the Pakoštane on the onshore side of the road “Jadranska cesta” and has every right to be called Nature Park.This is the biggest natural lake in Croatia, covering 30,7 square kilometers and is actually the sunken Karst valley which is about 14 km long, 4 km wide and 3,9 m deep.
As natural phenomenon, it offers many interesting sights, it is a habitat and a protected ornithological reserve of numerous and rare wading birds.

PP TELAŠČICA
Cove Luka Telašćica is at the southeast part of island Dugi otok and 7 nautical miles away from Sv. Filip i Jakov. It is approximately 10 km long, shielded from winds blowing from the open sea by high cliffs of hills Grpašćak and Muravjak and the NE coast is sheltered from northeastern wind. It is surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. Submarine world has more than 250 plant and 300 animal species. The most striking among Kornati islands is Katina and the most unusual is Taljurić. Within the area of NP there are several restaurants where you can enjoy traditional fish and meat specialties. The facilities are situated on the island of Katina and coves small Proversa, Mir and Magrovica.GRAD ZADAR
Zadar is a 3000 years old town and for centuries it was Dalmatia’s capital. Its symbol is the preromanesque St. Donat's church from the 9th century with the most beautiful examples of the Romanesque architecture in Croatia close at hand: St. Stošija's cathedral (13th ct.), St. Krševan church and St. Mary's belfry (12th ct.). Natural beauties, numerous bays and beaches, ancient historic monuments, and a rich choice of food with a number of regional specialties is what makes Zadar and its surrounding one of most attractive regions in Croatia. You can visit Zadar, which is 23 km away from Sv. Filip i Jakov, using your own transportation and staying half a day or a whole day...
GRAD NIN
Nin - for a long time residence of Croatian kings and bishops. The small town with its historical monuments looks like a museum- e.g. the "smallest cathedral in the world" the old Croatian church of Sv.Križ (St. Cross). Only 40 km from Sv. Filip i Jakov, Nin is situated on a small island, connected with the mainland by two bridges.
